Please help me I am stuck!!!

Ok, I am stuck in Francis St. Folly in Atlas.. This is pitiful. I have gotten to the man who is holding the ball you have to shoot down in order to get to the key you need. I know that on the walkthrough it says to stay to the left, however no matter what I do I keep getting killed. So is there something I am missing? I have even tried to scale the ledges to get away from the ball, but I still get smooshed. I am getting really frustrated, the game starts to make you angry whenever you can't get past one simple thing and your stuck doing it over and over again. So if someone could help me I would appreciate it. I just don't understand where I need to be standing in order to not get smooshed.. I am sick of being smooshed.. PLEASE HELP!!

Thank you so much for your help! I wondered what those levers did, I just didn't realize that you were supposed to pull it before you shot the targets... After a few times of poor lara falling in the pit, i managed to get past! Now im at the one with the knives that fall everwhere, Im having a hard time with that as well. This game is a lot more complicated then I ever thought. Thanks for the help!

I would've used the fly tool, but OK..

Fisrstly, makke sure you've enabled the monkeybar by climbing up the left side and flicking the switch.
Stand as far away as you can from the globe with a decent lock, and shoot it. Then run away from it, when you get to the edge, then jump onto the monkeybar crossing the chasm, swing one revolution, and jump again to the other side. Atlas ball will fall down the chasm.
